The Election - I'm Excited!

I'm going to register to vote today and I'm really really excited for some reason!! Today is the last day to register to vote in Louisiana.

I've never followed politics, but I see now they're addictive. I've been watching almost everything and if you saw the VP debate, but not the SNL skit - you have GOT to check it out. It's so funny!

I am 59% democratic, %40 independent and ONE PERCENT republican. So I feel pretty confident going to register as a democrat. I'm excited to label myself. I know, it's weird.

SO... I am for OBAMA/BIDEN 08!

Hey, Tasha! I hope you don't mind, but I added you as a friend. =) I was really impressed at how mature you sounded through the layout you've recently offered and am interested in getting to know you.

Just a quick suggestion, be careful about voting just based on parties. You should always check a person's policies and voting records (try to get past all the media foolishness, but to the actual facts of the matter) before supporting. <3

That being said, yay for getting interested in politics! Good for you!

I appreciate the comment actually! To tell you the truth, I was for Obama, and my support in him is what encouraged my decision to register for voting. Once I knew I was going to register, I was curious what I would register as... those were the results, which were a pleasant surprise to me that I also was in agreement with the presidential candidate.

When I registered, I registered as independent simply because I don't like being tied down to one party.

As a matter of fact, if America wasn't so bent on the two-party thing, I wouldn't be voting for either of these two candidates...But, hey, since we are, it's too close to split off votes into a third party. Same thing happened last election.

You know, your background image for your layout would make an awesome profile header... The one with the bursting star? Just a thought should you ever like to experiment with profiles.

*L* Thought of that only because you officially have me humming over what I can do to clean up my journal layout. It's so scattered between the mood theme and profile itself. *shakes head* Did you know you had inspirational abilities?

Or maybe I'm that bored. =P

well actually - I was trying to be fair.. however! Everyone that used that layout is using the DEMOCRAT bg.... lol. That is the bg that is the on the democratic website. But you have to admit, it's cool with the stars and stuff. ;)

and no - I haven't thought about profiles that much, only because I haven't thought of my own profile that much.. if someone was to ever GIVE ME the codes for an awesome profile code though., I'd totally use it and give credit.

I sound slightly retarted. I'm sorry. :)
